Iron Duke News n'Stuff

We've had in some of the artillery and transport items that we've had the excellent Niels Rullskotter working on since the end of last year and you can now see them comprehensively illustrated on the workbench page. Beauties they are too. Feel free to drool away to your heart's content (I got some drool on my sleeve yesterday), but please be patient while we get all the metaphorical 'ducks in a row' for releasing these items in 'good order', which we will do through our distributor chums at Empress Miniatures in the usual way.

We've put a list of the new codes we presently have in preparation on the Workbench Page, (but please don't expect to see them for at least a couple of months).

The title says it all. We're talking mounted British personalities (Havelock, Outram etc), the mounted staff oficers and orderlies set, the camel transport and ammunition train sets, Gwalior contingent command and flank companies in shakoes, Sikhs in BNI unifroms, BNI flank coys skirmishing and charge bayonets. Get 'em while they're hot!

Worth dropping by the workbench page for news of an exciting tranche of sculpting work currently being undertaken by Niels Rullkotter.
Also please note that the major release we had hoped to have retailing in December is now going to have to wait until after the Christmas/New Year break. But all the production moulds are ready to roll, so it's just that seasonal thing stopping us. The New Year will come soon enough, assuming we are not invaded by aliens in the interim...which threat our IDM intelligence operatives suggest should presently be graded as 'low risk'.

On the Workbench Page you'll see the new codes we're processing presently, in the hope of having them available to you in good time for Xmas.

The Set II cavalry sets (8 sowars) for the Bengal Light Cavalry, Bengal or Oudh Irregular Cavalry, Punjab Irregular Cavalry, the Corps of Guides, and Hodson's Horse are all now on sale in the Empress Miniatures online store. So too are the two baggage camel sets, the baggae loads, the standing and walking horse codes, and a big 16-figure set for fully uniformed BNI centre companies, which can be used on both sides of the conflict. Lkewise three 8-figure sets of European officers, comprising Regimental Commanders for the Allahabad Moveable Column, generic infantry/artillery field officers and cavalry officers.
Meanwhile masters for lots of new, new stuff are now on display on the Workbench Page.

This week we've added quite a lot more fiddly detail on the Historical Notes pages, mainly on the organizations and uniforms sections, which is not designed to entertian you per se, (so no real point in immediately dashing there to look-see), but rather to help you plan your armies and your games in slow time and to be there when you need it.

Lots of new stuff - mounted officers and baggage train wise - now on the workbench. Allow about a month for them to appear in the Empress online shop.

On the workbench Page is a first glimpse of five new standing and walking horses, the baggage camels and some of the mounted field officers.

Work is presently underway on the 93rd Sutherland Highlanders (24 figs), British higher command personalities, mounted field officers, 5 x standing and walking horses, 2 x baggage elephants and mahouts, 2 x baggage camels and drivers, mathlockmen (and other nice things besides). Please don't immediately hold your breath, as all this will take time to come into full production. Designs have been completed for the following personality figures: Lt-Gen Sir Colin Campbell (C-in-C India), Maj-Gen Sir James Outram, Brig-Gen Sir Henry Lawrence, Brig-Gen Archdale Wilson, Brigadier John Nicholson (foot and mounted versions); Brig-Gen Henry Havelock, Lt-Col Fraser-Tytler (Havelock's chief of staff), Col/Brig-Gen James Neill, Col/Brig Hope Grant, Capt Francis Maude RA and Capt Jeremiah Brasyer (mounted this time).
